Southampton Ladies III 1 Petersfield Ladies 6: PETERSFIELD Ladies faced Southampton Ladies’ third team on a very cold November day.

The first pushback of the game went to Southampton, but Hedges intercepted the ball and went on the attack for Petersfield. Hedges beat a couple of players and passed the ball up the right wing to Sinclair, who ran at speed with the ball to the top of the D and smacked the ball at pace towards Hedges. Hedges moved the ball on to her front stick and fired the ball into the goal to give Petersfield the lead.

Petersfield doubled their advantage with another goal from Hedges, before Sinclair dribbled the ball into the D and scored to give Petersfield a 3-0 lead at half time.

Petersfield maintained their structure throughout the second half and were determined to add more goals to their tally.

However, Southampton pulled a goal back when their centre forward shot the ball into the Petersfield goal.

Petersfield maintained their pressure on Southampton and this paid off with Ivey, Llewelyn and Hedges all scoring in the second half.

The final score was 6-1 to Petersfield.
