Fleet & Ewshot Ladies 4 Petersfield Ladies 0: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ first team played Fleet and Ewshot in the quarter finals of the Hampshire Cup.

Having played the same team in the semi finals last year and won, Petersfield had a lot to live up to.

Fleet and Ewshot had a very strong, experienced side out, while Petersfield gave debuts to some of their junior players.

Petersfield had first push back and were immediately under pressure from Fleet and Ewshot’s composed midfield.

A few low powered passes were easily intercepted by Fleet and Ewshot and left Petersfield defending for the first ten minutes of the match.

Consistent pressure and well timed passes across the Petersfield D were fought off continually but Fleet and Ewshot took the lead 20 minutes into the first half.

Petersfield went into the second half 1-0 down, and five minutes into the second period a penalty flick was awarded to Fleet and Ewshot.

The Fleet and Ewshot midfielder flicked the ball into the net to make it 2-0.

Fleet and Ewshot scored two more goals before the final whistle to run out 4-0 winners.
