Haslemere Ladies III 0 Petersfield Ladies 2: PETERSFIELD Ladies were desperate to beat Haslemere Ladies’ third team and reclaim second place in the Hampshire Division 3 table.

Hedges, Ivey and Eddy dominated the centre of the field and moved the Petersfield attack up into the Haslemere circle time after time. The pressure paid off when a quick transfer of the ball from the left side of the pitch to right reached Sinclair. She took control of the ball, ran into the circle and fired the ball into the left side of goal.

Petersfield maintained the pressure throughout the first half. However, the Haslemere defence worked tirelessly and managed to keep Petersfield from scoring until just before half time.

Sylvester collected the ball from a clearance by the goalie. She composed herself and placed the ball to the right of the keeper and into the goal to make it 2-0 to Petersfield.

In the second half Haslemere created more attacking opportunities and put the Petersfield defence under pressure.

Petersfield also created some good chances but neither side were able to add to the scoresheet and it finished 2-0 to the visitors.
