Petersfield Ladies 3 Trojans Ladies IV 2: AFTER losing their last match, Petersfield Ladies faced Trojans in their first home game of the season.

Petersfield went on the attack from the first whistle.

The Petersfield forwards linked together well and weaved their way through the Trojans defence.

Rymer picked up the ball just inside the D and fired it past the Trojans keeper to give the home side the lead.

Trojans responded to this by upping the pace and intensity at which they attacked the Petersfield goal.

The visitors won a short corner and executed a well-rehearsed short corner routine to make it 1-1.

Goalkeeper Martin and defenders Sinclair and Wheatstone were unable to stop the equaliser, and at half time the score was 1-1.

Trojans went on the attack at the start of the second half and won another short corner, and the visitors scored again to go 2-1 up.

Petersfield responded well and Sinclair intercepted the ball on the right side of the pitch at the halfway line and made her way towards the goal. Sinclair sprinted into the circle and hit the ball cleanly off her reverse stick into the goal to make it 2-2.

Both teams pushed for the winning goal, and Petersfield were awarded a short corner near the end of the game.

Clare gave the ball to Hedges, who shot at goal.

The keeper cleared the ball from the line, but Bardoe stopped the ball from leaving the circle, took control of it and slammed the ball into the goal to make it 3-2.
