Petersfield Ladies 5 US Portsmouth Ladies 0: PETERSFIELD Ladies were eager to return to winning ways after losing against Aldershot and Farnham in their previous match.

Petersfield went on the attack from the first whistle and were rewarded with a quick goal from Hedges.

Llewelyn, Sinclair and Eddy then linked up well together, driving the ball up the right side of the pitch at pace, and Eddy dragged the ball across the top of the D and reverse-stick hit the ball into the goal.

US Portsmouth then put pressure on the Petersfield defence, but goalkeeper May made several timely clearances.

Petersfield took back control of the game just before half time. A long ball up the middle of the pitch was collected by Hedges, who passed left to Harris. Harris returned the ball to Hedges, who slammed it past the keeper to make it 3-0.

Petersfield maintained the pressure on the US Portsmouth defence in the second half.

The pressure led to Petersfield being awarded a series of short corners, and Ivey swept the ball past the goalkeeper.

Eddy scored the last goal of the game to seal Petersfield’s 5-0 victory.
