Both teams played with width, which opened up the space and meant a lot of ground was covered.

This was followed by a scuffle in front of the goal before Petersfield took the lead.

Bardoe was patient and stayed in position at the left post to score the first goal for Petersfield.

Petersfield began to dominate, and the visitors led 1-0 at half time.

The second half started as the first half had ended, with Petersfield dominating play and Trojans struggling to contain the visitors.

Petersfield won a penalty corner and O’Kelly hit a tremendous shot into the goal, but the goal was disallowed.

Petersfield were hungry to score again, and Preston and Purkiss both tried to get the ball around the Trojans goalkeeper.

A lovely flick from Preston gave her her first goal of the season and doubled Petersfield’s advantage.

Trojans tried hard to come back, but Petersfield defended confidently and comfortably saw out the rest of the game to seal a 2-0 win.
