New Forest Ladies II 2 Petersfield Ladies II 2: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ second team made a sloppy start against New Forest Ladies’ second team and conceded two easy goals early on.

This shocked a usually strong Petersfield side and the team slowly came to life. The defence tightened with Sebastian-Todd and Stockley blocking most of the New Forest’s attacks. Llewellyn and Bardoe junior worked hard on the right and continued to move quickly across the midfield. The fast and accurate passes continually found O’Kelly who, just before half time, spotted Purkiss on the left post. Purkiss scored to make it 2-1.

After the break Petersfield were at their best and gained the upper hand. League leaders New Forest buckled under the pressure and Bardoe junior scored the equaliser. Petersfield Ladies’ second team showed real strength and were the first team this season to avoid defeat against the New Forest.
