Petersfield Ladies II 0 Aldershot & Farnham Ladies III 0: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ second team needed a win to overtake Aldershot and Farnham in the league table.

The visitors started strongly and Petersfield’s new defence was immediately tested. The defence were up to the task and denied Aldershot and Farnham any chances. A block from Sands lead to a free hit, which was taken swiftly by Stockley. Clare picked up the pass and moved it to the right to Llewellyn to drive forward to give Petersfield the first of many chances. However, the teams were evenly matched in the first half and no goals were scored.

The visitors started the second half well, but their opportunities were cut short several times by Petersfield keeper Houghton. Conran won several tackles and passed the ball across the pitch to Purkiss on the left. She drove the ball into the D, but the Aldershot and Farnham defence stopped her before she could score.
