Petersfield Ladies II 11 Havant Ladies IV 0: A LOVELY sunny afternoon saw the recently promoted Petersfield Ladies’ second team begin their league campaign against local rivals Havant.

After the initial skirmishes, where Petersfield were slightly too timid, the Petersfield midfield gained a stranglehold on the possession and territory and created countless chances for the forward three.

Two first-half goals from Laura Purkiss set the tone, and these were followed by an impressive back stick strike from Zoe King and a scrambled own goal.

In the second half Purkiss scored three more goals to finish with five goals, while King scored her second of the match. Debbie Geer, Alexa Marks and Mary Clare also got on the scoresheet as Petersfield won 11-0.
