Petersfield Ladies II 2 Isle of Wight Ladies II 3: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ second team slipped to a 3-2 defeat against the Isle of Wight Ladies’ second team.

Petersfield started the game positively and had the majority of the possession. Petersfield were determined to get the first goal, and they took the lead when O’Kelly’s shot was followed up by Purkiss.

Purkiss then scored her second goal of the match in very similar circumstance, and Petersfield had a comfortable 2-0 lead at half time.

Petersfield had some chances in the second half, but they were unable to score the crucial third goal and their legs started to get tired.

The Isle of Wight then turned the game on its head as they scored two goals to level the scores at 2-2. The final goal came from an Isle of Wight shot, as the visitors won 3-2.

Petersfield Ladies’ second team are now in fifth place in the Hampshire Division 4 (Women) table.
