Petersfield Ladies 10 Hamble Ladies II 1: PETERSFIELD Ladies started their season with a comprehensive victory against Hamble Ladies’ second team.

A prosperous first half saw the home side score seven goals, with Lola Day scoring four of them to secure her first hat-trick of the season.

Fizz Easton scored from a short corner when her strike found the bottom right-hand corner of the goal.

The home side continued to impress in the second half.

The eighth goal arrived when Imogen Bell picked out Jo Bardoe, who scored.

The ninth goal came from a short corner.

Skye Bardoe injected to Delyth Beaton, who played it back into the circle for a deflection from Anji Hedges.

Hamble pulled a goal back on 65 minutes, but Petersfield then went back on the attack.

Hedges deflected the ball to Easton, who shot from one metre in the D and beat the keeper on the left as it bounced on to the backboard.

Petersfield will hope to continue their fine start to the season when they host Aldershot and Farnham Ladies’ third team at Dunhurst School at 4.15pm tomorrow (Saturday).
