Petersfield Ladies III 1 Gosport Ladies IV 2: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ third team fielded a few new players against Gosport Ladies.
The team hadn’t trained together and needed a few minutes to get used to each other. Gosport used this to their advantage to score an early goal when they broke through Petersfield’s defence.
Petersfield regrouped and tightened up their midfield by moving Marks to the centre. This change proved successful as within minutes Marks passed the ball to Lowe, who made an attempt to score. The goalie stopped the ball, only for Lowe to push in the rebound. Petersfield had most of the possession for the rest of the half, but they failed to score again.
Gosport changed their tactics in the second half, and although Petersfield had most of the play they lost the ball too easily and left Gosport to score again. Petersfield tried to score an equaliser, but the Gosport goalie saved every shot at goal.
