Petersfield v Bournemouth II

PETERSFIELD emphatically beat an under-strength Bournemouth second team in their Hampshire Cricket League County Division 2 encounter at the heath on Saturday (May 23), winning convincingly by 194 runs.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, Field's openers Damian Carson and Gabe Broadhurst accumulated steadily, putting on 113 for the first wicket without offering a chance.

Indeed the only surprise was when youngster Broadhurst was given out caught behind, feathering a catch to the wicket keeper for a well-constructed 45....
