Petersfield under-13s 50 Romsey under-13s 15: PETERSFIELD under-13s took on Romsey under-13s at Penns Place in their first cup match at youth level.

Field let Romsey run straight through the middle to score the first try with two minutes gone. Field picked themselves up and with some tough scrummaging and good passing out wide they found themselves with the overlaps to open up a 15-5 lead. Romsey came back to score another try with some big running through the middle, before Needham Laing broke clear down the left twice and Palmer also went down the line to leave Field 30-10 up at half time.

Field piled on the pressure in the scrums in the second half, with good quick ball resulting in Carey and Green running in two tries in quick succession. Romsey came back with a break down the left to score another try before Palmer and Stagg ran another two tries in to leave Field 50-15 winners.
