Petersfield 4 Romsey 6: PETERSFIELD hosted Romsey in their penultimate fixture of the season.

The home side began well and created a number of chances, but the Romsey keeper was in fine form.

Romsey were clinical in their attacks, scoring six from eight opportunities.

Petersfield responded four times through J Atkinson (two), Hughes-Stanton and O Atkinson.

Petersfield dominated play throughout, demonstrating some of their best hockey of the season, but they were not clinical enough in the final third as they slipped to defeat.

Petersfield host Gillingham at Dunhurst School on Saturday in their final league match of the season, and a victory might be enough to avoid relegation back to Hampshire Division 2.
