PETERSFIELD Squash Club is focusing on attracting and developing junior players.

As well as club-run junior coaching on Sunday evenings and Wednesday afternoons, the club is also keen to support junior coaching sessions on Monday afternoons run by the Taro.

A junior tournament at the Taro attracted 19 players with Joe Boorer taking the title and his brother Jack getting the award for Best Sportsperson. Runner-up was Gavin Laycock and the Most Improved Player was Phoebe Hill.

Last season was a strong one for the club. All six of their teams in the Hampshire Leagues made a strong showing last season and have started well this season.

Internal club monthly leagues, tournaments, Tuesday social squash evenings and Sunday night squash training continue this year, together with a programme of social events and a tour to Stockholm next year.
