CHAMPIONIES, championies, oway, oway, oway – that was the chant that was filling the air in Petersfield on Saturday evening (April 11).

Petersfield Town players, officials and supporters were in good voice after the club was crowned Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division champions.

Lewis Hyde's diving header on 58 minutes was enough to give them the victory they needed over Lymington Town to ensure Winchester City would not be able to catch them in the title race, with two matches still to be played....
