PETERSFIELD Open Air Swimming Pool hosted an aquathlon, with 47 sons, daughters, mothers and fathers from across Hampshire competing for top spots on a gloriously sunny evening.
In the open adult event Petersfield Triathlon Club’s David Reid took first place and Toby Clay took second place, while Kate Smith was the second lady in.
In the tri-star races Eddie Jordan was third boy, Lotta Jordan was first girl, Oliver Clay was second boy, Lara Foulkes was second girl and Oliver Foulkes was second boy in their respective age categories.
Petersfield Triathlon Club (PTC) thanked the organisers and marshals who volunteered their time to help run the event.
Six members of PTC were also in action at the Jubilee River swim, which involved a 10km swim from Taplow to Eton. Mary Jane Ashby and Rachel Clay were the second ladies team to finish.
Meanwhile, across the pond, fellow triathlete David Bence was in action at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco and Rob Hall, the ex-chairman and founder of the triathlon club, completed the South Downs Way Ultra marathon. Rob was running in aid of The Prince’s Trust.
Jenny Philips from PTC competed at the weekend in Kitzbuhel at the European Age Group Triathlon Championships. She came 19th out of the 25 finishers.
