THE TRIATHLON season has kicked off and members of Petersfield Triathlon Club (PTC) enjoyed some impressive results on the first main weekend.

PTC members took part in the Fareham Sprint Triathlon, which is a fun and friendly sprint triathlon consisting of a 400m pool-based swim, a 19.2km bike ride and a 5.5km run.

Out of the PTC contingent taking part in the sprint triathlon, Jessica Oecken and Chris Turner won their age categories, Kate Parker came third in her age category, and Richard Roberts got a personal best time on his run.

The Lezyne Arundel Lido Triathlon was also held on the weekend, and PTC’s Jenny Phillips won her age category for the sprint triathlon course at Arundel.

PTC have lots of training sessions and competitions coming up in the diary for the summer months, catering for all abilities from complete beginners to seasoned triathletes.
