PETERSFIELD Triathlon Club (PTC) athletes took part in the fifth Southern Cross Country League event.

The event took place on the scenic Chawton House Estate on a crisp and sunny morning, with more than 500 runners from clubs across the south taking part.

There were some fine performances from PTC members and with strong individual finishes from the first three ladies and first five men across the line for PTC, the club team was placed 11th overall.

The final Southern Cross Country League event of the season takes place on Sunday at Alice Holt Country Park.

Other club members took the opportunity in the sunny, dry, but very chilly, conditions to go out on road bikes and mountain bikes, to add to their tally of winter training miles.
