PETERSFIELD Triathlon Club members have been impressing at a number of events.

Club chairman Kim King took part in the New Forest Triathlon, completing the Olympic distance comprising a 1.1km lake swim, a 1km transition run, a 33km cycle and a 9km run.

King finished second in her age category.

Race New Forest run a number of events over the summer. The next will be held this Sunday, and another event is organised for September 2.

King also took part in the River Arun 3.8km swim from Ford to Littlehampton.

Paul Hawes completed the Arundel to Winchester Ultra marathon, which was 53 miles. This was the first time Hawes had competed at that distance.

Petersfield Triathlon Club members took podium positions on Sunday at the Open Air Pool Aquathlon, which consisted of a 400m swim and a 5km run in extremely hot conditions.

Toby Clay and Jessica Oecken came first, Kate Parker was the second lady and Josh Lahiri was third (winning his age category).

Leighton Jones was fourth (second in his age category), David Robbins won his age category and Rich Roberts was second in his age category.

There were also lots of children taking part in the Tri-Star categories for those aged nine upwards.

T Clay’s son William came in tenth in the TS1 (age nine to 10) category, and Tilly Hutchins won the TS2 (age 11 to 12) category over shorter distances.
