A TEAM of seven Petersfield Triathlon Club competitors and three enthusiastic spectators ventured to Holkham Hall, Norfolk, for the Holkham Outlaw Half Ironman.

The event comprised a 1.2km swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile run. All the Petersfield athletes raced well, with some finishing that distance for the first time. They were rewarded with a medal and a T-shirt. Mark Poole led the club home in 6hr, 7min and 7secs, followed by Mary Jackson in 6hr, 29min and 12secs, Fred McCraig in 6hr, 29min and 40secs, Rich Roberts in 6hr, 32min and 6secs, Nigel Bird in 6hr, 37min and 28secs, Kate Smith in 6hr, 52min and 49secs and Nicola Plewes in 6hr, 52min and 53secs.

Jenny Philips took part in the Weymouth Half Ironman, which comprised a 1,900m swim, a 90km bike ride and a 21km run. She finished in 5hr, 58min and 28secs to finish second in her age group and eighth woman overall.
