PETERSFIELD Triathlon Club (PTC) members have achieved some impressive results.

PTC’s Tony Baker took part in the Nottingham Ironman (the Outlaw) and he came third in his age category (age 65-69) after completing a 2.4km swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile marathon run in 15hr, 31min and 2secs. Conditions were atrocious with driving rain and cruel winds.

PTC’s Rich Roberts, Josh Lahiri and Rowena Rogers took part in and completed the Arundel standard distance triathlon, which consisted of a 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run. Lahiri came eighth in his age category, despite a buoy mistake by the organisers which meant he had to swim a little extra.

PTC’s Julie Gadsden has qualified for the Great Britain age group team in the 2019 World Championships in Lausanne.
