PETERSFIELD’S under-11s won the title at the New Milton Rugby Festival at the weekend, scoring almost 40 tries at the cost of just one.
Field beat Winchester 5-1, Eastleigh 7-0, Bournemouth 8-0 and New Milton 9-0; before mauling Tadley Tigers 8-0 in the final.
Inche’s kicking kept opponents on the back foot all day, while marauding runs from the midfield pairing of Ashworth and Shine ensured the opposition were always unsettled under his high ball.
Coote scored her first tournament try for Field.
Holden led the way in tackling, with Baynham-Hughes and Inkley, while one challenge by Needham-Laing set the tone for the thrashing of Bournemouth.
Chinnock and Chads ran amok through defensive lines, with Evans injecting more pace to the Field attack.
