PETERSFIELD Town Juniors under-12 Girls Comets walked side by side with Aston Villa Ladies as player escorts on Sunday.

The Petersfield girls were player escorts for Aston Villa Ladies’ match against Millwall Lionesses, which was held at Tamworth.

This was an incredible experience for the girls and they had the opportunity to spend some quality time with the Aston Villa players.

Petersfield under-12 Girls were promoted to the premier division of the Winchester League after coming top of the championship.

Petersfield Town Juniors under-12 Girls Comets manager Simon Sherwood said: “Meeting the Aston Villa Ladies was a great experience for the team.

“I could not be more proud of the Comets, they battle hard, train at least twice a week and work so well together, supporting one another.

“Despite some of the team playing two years up, they are all so determined, extremely talented, have incredible skills and show fantastic teamwork against tough teams.

“The girls will be entering numerous tournaments and enjoying more road trips this year.

“This group of girls really are the pride of Petersfield.
