An early penalty was awarded to the Whites after good work by Mark Butcher, which was converted by George Milner-Smith. Petersfield grew in confidence and soon added a second after a fine solo run by Archie Largan, who smashed the ball into the back of the net.

In the second half the Whites were awarded a free kick midway in the Hawks’ half. Milner-Smith stepped up and watched his effort fly into the top corner from 25 yards out. Rushmoor quickly responded, pulling a goal back, but the Whites were not to be denied as Joel Francis added a fourth following a good cross by Palmer.
