Petersfield under-12 Boys 3 Camberley & Farnham 6: THE MIST didn’t dampen spirits for Petersfield on their second outing of the season, although an accomplished performance from Camberley and Farnham certainly delivered a reality check.

Petersfield’s defence was under pressure from the whistle and within 14 minutes they were 2-0 down. Max White and Will Nichols switched play with some insightful passes and James Hill scooped up a loose ball on the edge of the D and punched home a trademark reverse shot.

Will Nichols swiped the ball onto the keeper’s pads and the rebound allowed a jubilant Ben Hegan to sweep in Petersfield’s second goal. Camberley and Farnham switched up a gear and a flurry of goals followed as Petersfield temporarily lost their momentum. Joe Price’s efforts were rewarded with a shot that was skilfully deflected by Hill.
