Petersfield under-13 Pirates 1 Farnborough Youth Hunters 2: PETERSFIELD under-13 Pirates had the chance to move closer to taking the Division 1 league title if they could beat Farnborough Youth under-13 Hunters.
The Pirates were still licking their wounds after losing 2-1 at Farnborough earlier in the season. The first half was an exciting half. Both teams had chances, and both keepers made many saves to keep it 0-0. Farnborough then took the lead when they scored from a corner after a goalmouth scramble, and they led 1-0 at half time.
The second half was just as exciting and a penalty was given to Petersfield. Jenson put the ball past the keeper, who got a hand to it but it was too powerful. Farnborough clinched the win when their striker put the ball in between the keeper’s left arm and leg after many missed tackles by the Pirates.
