New Milton under-13s 20 Petersfield under-13s 60: PETERSFIELD under-13s travelled to the New Forest more in hope than expectation as they faced a tough test against New Milton under-13s, who are seen as one of the best sides in Hampshire.

New Milton had already beaten Petersfield under-13s in the cup quarter finals earlier this season.

Petersfield managed to produce one of their best performances of the season though to win 60-20.

Two tries from Franklin, Carey, Stagg and Green, one from try Botham and a hat-trick of tries from Needham Laing secured the victory for Petersfield.

The rest of the team played their part though and dynamic scrummaging, good rucking and combative tackling all played a part in Petersfield’s convincing victory.

The man-of-the-match was given to Bloomer, who tackled strongly for Petersfield throughout the game.
