PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s under-eights enjoyed plenty of success at the Chichester festival, showing few signs of post-Christmas rustiness as they took the festival by storm.
It did not take the team long to pick up from where they had left off earlier in the season.
Petersfield soon found their touch and team patterns as they produced their best team play to date. Once again, the success was founded on a strong defence and good distribution from the back three of Callard-Williams, Temple and Sands.
The midfield of Keville, Vickery and Shanks displayed their usual competitive spirit and strong running.
The goals subsequently came through some good interplay and understanding from the attacking trio of Crabtree, Shanks and Cleife.
Petersfield won all five of their matches at the festival, scoring 17 goals without reply.
The highlight of the day for Petersfield was their 8-0 win against Portsmouth, which included some impressive team goals.
