PETERSFIELD under-nine Boca Juniors have made impressive strides this season, and six wins out eight in the league set them up for an exciting cup run.

They went into the Major League Shield final on Saturday undefeated having beaten Hart Pumas 3-1 and Haslemere Town Rockets 8-0 over consecutive weekends. Alton United Reds were too much for Bocas on a blustery astro pitch at Frimley Lodge. Bocas battled until the final whistle, but Alton won the match 3-0. After a challenging first season Bocas have improved immeasurably and have been rewarded with a promotion into the division above.
