Steep v Petersfield

PETERSFIELD 1st XI and Steep 1st XI fought out a competitive pre-season friendly at a chilly Steep cricket ground on Saturday.

Winning the toss and batting first, Steep initially found the going slow, thanks to impressive opening spells from Shaun Blanks (3-35) and promising youngster Ben Turk (2-24).

McCubbin (49) and Ellis (53) managed to steady the ship for the hosts before counter attacking effectively in an 82-run partnership for the fourth wicket.....
