Yateley III 1 Petersfield II 1: PETERSFIELD’S second team headed to Yateley’s third team knowing a win would secure the Hampshire Division 6 (Men) title.

Petersfield started poorly but eventually got going and started to put the home side under pressure. After a few penalty corners were not converted, Callum King scored to give Petersfield the lead at half time.

Petersfield hit the post in the second half and were denied on several occasions by the Yateley keeper. The sucker punch arrived when the home side equalised with one minute remaining.

With no time left Petersfield had to settle for a draw.

This Saturday Petersfield travel to Eastleigh needing a point to take the title.
