Eastleigh 0 Petersfield II 4: PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s second team travelled to Eastleigh needing a win or a draw to seal the league title.

The visitors started strongly and put Eastleigh under pressure from the start.

In the first half Petersfield had the majority of the possession and spent most of the time in Eastleigh’s half.

Two goals were scored in the first half to give the visitors a 2-0 lead at half time.

At the start of the second half Eastleigh put Petersfield under some pressure, but a third goal and then a well-worked team goal made the game safe.

This allowed the team and spectators to enjoy the last ten minutes of the game with a 4-0 lead.

In the evening the team attended the club awards night, where Callum King won the club’s leading scorer award.

Anthony White was awarded the most improved player and the players’ player award was won by Matthew Cooper.
