Petersfield III 4 Camberley & Farnborough IV 1: PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s men’s third team earned a second successive victory as they beat Camberley and Farnborough’s fourth team.

Petersfield played with confidence in all areas of the pitch and it wasn’t long before the Camberley and Farnborough keeper was being given a full work out.

Time and again Petersfield attacked deep into the opposition danger zone, but failed to put the ball in the back of the net.

The frustration was eventually broken with Cooke-Priest and Price capitalising on a rebounded shot from Street.

The home team kept the pressure up but squandered numerous penalty corners before Ankers took a different approach and calmly slotted the ball past the keeper.

A counter attack from Camberley and Farnborough caught Petersfield out of position, allowing the opposition to score from their only really dangerous attack.

Throughout the match the play was very one sided with Petersfield dominating possession through Bott, Bell, Maugham-Taylor and Plewes commanding the midfield.

King clinically threaded through the defence for Street to add two further goals to his tally and put Petersfield 4-1 ahead and out of sight.

There should have been plenty more goals from the opportunities created, however a very solid win took Petersfield’s third team to the top of the league.
