Petersfield III 8 Basingstoke Vikings 0: PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s men’s third team produced a masterclass of full team hockey right to the final whistle as they earned a comprehensive victory against Basingstoke Vikings in a very one-sided match on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Bell, Kent and an impressive double hat-trick from Street, including a sublimely timed lob over the Basingstoke goalkeeper, were the just deserts from a very polished team performance, as Petersfield posted an impressive 8-0 victory.
Petersfield remain unbeaten in Hampshire Division 9 North (Men) and have dominated the first half of the season.
The team sit eight points clear at the top of the league with 21 points and a goal difference of 28 from their first seven matches. Aldershot and Farnham’s fifth team are their closest rivals, lying in second place on 13 points with a goal difference of 14.
