PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s under-ten B team took part in a tournament at Haslemere.

The team started brightly with a 3-0 victory against Haslemere D. Alexander Young scored two of the goals, and Tom McKenzie added an impressive individual third strike after demonstrating his skills down the left flank.

Next up were Haslemere C, and Petersfield won 2-0 with Ollie Stansbridge slotting home both goals. Fareham B were also defeated 2-0, with McKenzie adding two more goals to his tally.

Gosport A were tougher opposition. Angus Pruden put Petersfield ahead after a strong run, but Gosport’s pressure eventually told and the game finished 1-1.

Petersfield lost their final match against City of Portsmouth B 1-0, but the scoreline could have been far more had it not been for some resolute tackling by Megan Barnes and Archie Liddle. Ella Jackson and Atti Marks also played well.
