PETERSFIELD head coach James Alder was delighted with Field’s win on Saturday.
Alder said: “I am very proud of how the players took to the challenge and showed grit, team spirit and character that ensured victory.
“Both teams found the conditions difficult, especially with tactical kicking, but to their credit they put together a great game for those watching. Finally, this was a game where the players got what their hard work and commitment deserves.
“Warlingham are well placed in the league and the lads were more than a match for them for most of the game.
“The second half was the best team effort we have put together so far this season, especially in the last few minutes when they showed great maturity in managing possession to wind down the clock.
“We are in a good place and will use this result and performance to drive us forward.”
