WHILE Petersfield Rugby Club’s first XV were struggling, the second and third XV’s were both in action at home.

The seconds were playing against Locks Heath Pumas’ second XV in the league and the thirds were playing a friendly round robin against Midhurst’s second XV and Chineham’s second XV.

Having lost their opening league match and their last two friendlies, the seconds were looking for a strong performance against Locks Heath and the team delivered with a 32-24 win. There were six tries in all for the home side with Harry Attwood and Franko Tomic scoring two each and Jon Horsfall and Jim Coombes-Excell scoring one apiece.
