Portsmouth 3rd XV 10 Petersfield 2nd XV 5: PETERSFIELD’S second team were on their travels, heading down to meet Portsmouth’s third team in the Hampshire South East League.

This was a tight affair that ended in a 10-5 loss to the visitors; Harley Orr back on the scoresheet yet again with Field’s only try.

The loss brings to an end the team’s five-match winning streak but they will take heart from the fact that they remain in third position in the table and within touching distance of the teams tied above them for the top slot.

The second team host Portsmouth in a friendly next week, before travelling to take on leaders Stoneham the week after.
