PETERSFIELD Rugby Club held their first taster day of the summer with Lions Sports Academy on Sunday for girls aged nine to 16 wanting to learn about the game.

The club had an excellent turnout, and everyone had a good time being coached by England player Leanne Riley and Laurisa Robson from the Rugby Football Union (RFU), plus many helpers.

Lions Sports Academy will be back at Penns Place to deliver the next taster session on August 12 from 1pm to 3pm, followed by the third and final one on September 2 from 1pm to 3pm. Anyone wanting to join Petersfield Rugby Club and take part in the girls’ coaching sessions should contact Pam Cheeseman by e-mailing [email protected]

Alternatively, girls can just turn up on the days of the two remaining taster sessions.
