PLEASED as he was with the the emphatic victory against Andover on Saturday, Petersfield head coach James Alder was convinced after the match that his side had left even more points on the pitch.
Alder said: “The lads played fantastically for 60 minutes of the game but there were times when we took the ball into contact rather than spin it through the hands where a quick pass would have set us free for a score.
“We gifted points to a team that didn’t look like scoring off their own bat and we need to maintain the concentration and composure we showed for the full 80 minutes to secure a more convincing result.
“That said, the senior players at Petersfield are a great bunch and I’m proud to work with them.
“They finally got what they deserve from all their hard work, a total team performance and positive attacking rugby.”
