PETERSFIELD coach James Alder described the Romsey match as another frustrating game against a team fighting to avoid relegation.
Alder said: “The pack was once again very strong at scrum-time and were perhaps unlucky not to get more from the referee. We still have lots of work to do to cement our position in the league but this was a well-earned try bonus point win.”
Field’s man of the match went to Sam Brown. Alder said: “Sam put on a very strong display with great carries around the pitch and a solid platform at the set piece.”
With a few players picking up injuries over the past two weeks, the break in league action this weekend will help the squad recuperate and prepare for their next game at home against bottom team, Chineham. Field were also boosted by the news league leaders New Milton lost against Sandown and Shanklin on Saturday.
