PETERSFIELD head coach James Alder says he still has total trust in his players after their defeat against Battersea Ironsides on Saturday.
Alder said: “We will all fight to secure our place in London 3 South West. However, it will be a big team effort over the next seven games to make it happen. We have now lost another player with Seb Kay unavailable for the rest of the season – we wish him all the best for his future endeavours – and had a further three players injured on Saturday.
“We will need to reassess before selecting a team for our next fixture – away at league leaders Winchester on February 9. While not ideal, the situation does provide an opportunity for relatively inexperienced players to gain a first-team slot and I am sure whoever comes in will add to the group. Our player of the match was lock Alex Patience whose solid performance helped him pip Franco Tomic and Kay to the honour.”
