Petersfield Colts 57 Fordingbridge Colts A 24: FORDINGBRIDGE came to Penns Place a player down, so the home side matched numbers.
Field started brightly and within ten minutes Keast had notched up two tries, with Matthews adding one of the conversions. Field continued to dictate matters with two further tries from Kay and Heath, with Matthews adding one of the conversions.
Angel and Dodds continued to make life difficult for Fordingbridge, scoring two further tries before the half was up.
Fordingbridge came out at the start of the second half with renewed vigour and pinned Field on their five-metre line and, despite some good defence, succeeded in getting on to the scoreboard.
Field reverted to their dynamic play of the first half and released Heath and Keast to break through the line and score. Seaman then scored in the corner, and Matthews added the conversion.
By now Fordingbridge were a further two players down through injury and with Field matching player numbers it led to only 12 a side and uncontested scrums. Fordingbridge capitalised on this, scoring two tries.
