Petersfield Colts 15 United Services Portsmouth Colts 20: PETERSFIELD Colts last played at the beginning of December and have had scant opportunity to train properly since.

Nonetheless they got off to a good start against United Services Portsmouth, who travelled up from their home 3G pitch to play on the grass of Penns Place.

It took a significant amount of time and pressure deep in the opposition 22 before Field eventually made their advantage tell, with C White scoring near the corner. Further pressure saw Field edge ever closer to the try line before Ullyott touched down on the other side of the pitch. The visitors converted a penalty, although C White scored again for Field. Efforts from Matthews to convert all tries were close but not successful. United Services Portsmouth then scored a converted try to make the score 15-15 at half time.

After the break ill-discipline at the breakdown from Field saw them give away too many penalties, which enabled the visitors to edge ahead. Despite sustained pressure from Field in the last minutes of the game, United Services Portsmouth were able to hold onto the lead and see the game out 20-15.
