PETERSFIELD’S team at London 3 South West leaders Winchester on Saturday included second and third team players and colts who stepped into the breach.

Dan Dryden, who was standing in for Nick Blumlein who was away on Hampshire duty, was selected as Field’s man-of-the-match.

Petersfield host Old Tiffinians this Saturday and it is unlikely that head coach James Alder’s selection woes will abate as he will still have 14 first team regulars unavailable to him through injury or other long term commitment issues.

Despite this, Alder declares himself happy with the spirit in the squad and is confident that his side will do their best to secure a much-needed win.

Old Tiffinians are in sixth place in London 3 South West, and they beat Petersfield 35-7 in the reverse league fixture on October 27.

Petersfield remain rooted to the bottom of the league.
