Yateley Ladies II 0 Petersfield Ladies 6: PETERSFIELD Ladies took on Yateley in an away game on Saturday.

In the first few minutes of the game Hedges intercepted the ball from a Yateley attack. Hedges pushed the ball wide to Eaton, who went on a solo run and moved the ball all the way up to the edge of the Yateley circle and passed the ball to Sinclair. Sinclair moved with the ball to the back line and slammed it across the middle of the circle where Hedges was waiting, and Hedges deflected the ball past the keeper and into the back of the net.

Petersfield had the bit between their teeth, and the first goal was closely followed by goals from Sinclair, in a well-rehearsed short corner routine, and from Harris and Llewelyn who both beat the goalie in one-on-one attacks.

Yateley were undaunted by the early goals and put immense pressure on the Petersfield defence. Petersfield’s defensive line up of Crewe, Llewelyn and Martin managed to absorb this pressure and prevent Yateley from scoring.

The first 20 minutes of the second half saw both teams playing hard, and both of the keepers worked tirelessly and stopped either team from scoring.

In the last ten minutes of the game Clare dribbled the ball into the Yateley circle and she smashed the ball into the back of the goal. Eaton had had a fabulous game, taking control of the midfield and distributing the ball well, and she scored the final goal of the match to make it 6-0 to Petersfield.
