Petersfield Ladies III 6 Gosport Borough Ladies III 1: PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s Ladies’ third team earned a comprehensive win at home to Gosport Borough Ladies’ third team on Saturday.
Petersfield welcomed Gosport to their home pitch at Bedales on a beautiful sunny day.
The Petersfield team had a mix of ages, ranging from two 14 year olds up to and including retired ladies.
Petersfield started well and soon scored their first goal, and the second goal followed in quick succession.

Before the break Gosport managed to take advantage of an error by Hulme to score past Petersfield’s goalkeeper.
Taking advantage of Gosport’s inexperienced team the Petersfield forwards kept the ball in the Gosport half for much of the second half.
On the occasions that Gosport attacked they were quickly tackled by the Petersfield defence.
