Steep v Hursley Park II

STEEP'S new season got off to a nail-biting start with a tie against Hursley Park.

John Smith lost a crucial toss and Steep were asked to bat on a wicket and outfield still damp from the earlier rain.

Ally Bone got one that found its way through his defence, and, when Sean Noble fell soon afterwards. the innings was looking in danger of turning into a rout.

Dean Knight and Graham Hughes rescued the situation with a 50 partnership, although scoring was hard....
